Assistant Professor
Department of Biomedical Informatics, Emory University School of Medicine, United States
Dr. J. Lucas McKay is an engineer with unique training in epidemiology, biostatistics, clinical trial design, and the disease pathophysiology and clinical management of neurological disorders.
As a junior faculty member, Dr. McKay received an NIH-supported KL2 fellowship that allowed him to receive formal training in epidemiology, biostatistics, power analysis, and clinical study design at the Rollins School of Public Health at Emory University. This provided him with an excellent and unique toolset to do translational clinical research using special purpose statistical software. He currently serves as a study biostatistician on two federally funded clinical trials in Parkinson’s disease and prodromal Alzheimer’s disease.
