Dr. Ann Guernon is an Assistant Professor at Lewis University in the Speech-Language Pathology graduate program and a Research Health Scientist at the Hines VA. She conducts mixed methods research focused on cognitive-communication treatment development and implementation for persons following acquired brain injury. Her work also strives to develop an understanding of how communication and interactions between a variety of end-users influences person-centered care throughout the continuum of injury prevention and rehabilitation for acquired brain injury ranging from youth sport concussion through adults in disordered states of consciousness to mild traumatic brain injury.
