Anne Fleischer, Ph.D., MPH, OT/L, CLT-LANA has been an occupational therapist for 36 years. Clinically, she worked at Wake Forest Baptist Health for 24 years as an occupational therapist within acute care and outpatient settings. That is where she gained her clinical skills in the area of oncology. First working with those with cancer-related lymphedema and later with other impairments limiting their ability to return to important activities. After receiving her Ph.D. in 2015, she accepted a position at Eastern Kentucky University where she taught occupational science and occupational therapy for 6 ½ years and began her line of research in cancer survivorship. In January 2022, she accepted a position at the University of Cincinnati where she conducts cancer survivorship research and teaches within the occupational therapy program. Her interest in supporting individual with cancer along the continuum comes from her clinical and personal experiences and is informed by her scholarly work.
