Richard Burns, MD is a NIH-trained physician scientist. He is a senior academic neurologist with extensive clinical and research expereince who has hled positions at Vanderbilt Univeristy, The Cleveland Clinic, the Barrow Neurologic Institute and the Phoenix VA. Dr. Burns has more than 30 years of administrative experience in directing movement disorder sections, centers and department divisions in a range of institutions.

Dr. Burns has more than 30 years of expeereince in the evaluation of patients with gait and balance disorders, including working closely with neurorehabilitation and rehabilitation specialists and physical therapists. As part of his role with Gravitrex Inc., Dr. Burns follows develoopments in the physiology of human locomotion, the kinetics and kinematics of human movement and reduced gravity conditions. Within the rehabilitation field, he follow developments in body weight unloading, gait training and new body weight support devices and systems systems.
