Lauren Rizio is an OTR/L practicing at the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab in Chicago, IL. She received her Master of Occupational Therapy in 2015 from the University of Pittsburgh. She completed an Acute Care Fellowship Program at the University of Chicago Medicine from 2015-2016. She then worked for two years in acute care oncology and then made the transition to inpatient rehabilitation, where she has spent the past 4.5 years on the Spinal Cord Injury unit. Lauren is passionate about Spinal Cord Injury rehab and practicing client-centered care that focuses on getting people back to a fulfilling life. In addition to her full time career as an occupational therapist, Lauren is a licensed massage therapist and a registered yoga teacher.
