Emily J. Morgan, MS, OTRL, CSRS, CBIS, LSVT BIG and PWR! Certified, RPSFC in NDT is an occupational therapist with 17 years of experience practicing in outpatient rehabilitation neurological care. She currently serves as Clinical Relations Manager at Neurolutions, a medical device company that utilizes breakthrough brain computer interface technology paired with a robotic exoskeleton to improve motor recovery and function of the hand and arm post stroke. Previous to this career change, she served as lead occupational therapist at a neurological and specialty outpatient rehabilitation center in Grand Blanc, MI (Ascension Genesys Ambulatory Therapy). Expertise includes upper extremity motor recovery and advanced technology in patient populations such as stroke, brain injury, and Parkinson’s disease.
A strong advocate of evidenced-based practice, knowledge translation, and servant leadership, Emily was awarded the Michigan Occupational Therapy Association's (MiOTA) Master Clinician Award in 2021.
In addition to her passion and expertise within neurological clinical practice and the medical device industry, Emily is approaching nearly two decades of involvement in academic partnership, classroom instruction, and student mentorship. She is a community partner with multiple OT/OTA educational programs, she is on the advisory board for University of Michigan Flint's OTD program and Mott College's OTA/PTA program, and has collaborated with leadership at UM-Flint for implementation of a pro-bono occupational therapy clinic for the underserved and underprivileged.
Emily is the co-creator of "SaeboMind" (through Saebo, Inc.) and is the voice on the audio throughout the SaeboMind Mental Practice Exercises.
Emily enjoys both inspirational and informative public speaking and writing. She has provided keynote addresses for leadership conferences and recognition ceremonies as well as written numerous publications in her health system/community on various educational rehabilitations topics. Her article on a stroke survivor's triumphant return to his valued occupation was featured in OT Practice Magazine (Corkey's Comeback, October 2018).
Emily also founded the small business Emily Morgan Consulting, LLC (doing business as Neuro Rehab PossAbilities) employing the motto “Let’s do Neuro Rehab Better…Together.” As a consultant, she brings energy and fresh ideas to neurorehabilitation organizations.
