Lydia Royeen obtained her Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy at St. Louis University in 2011. She worked the majority of her clinical career at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago, IL. She has experience working in acute care, outpatient, behavioral health and primary care settings with a variety of diagnoses and populations across the lifespan. She completed her Ph.D. in Interdisciplinary Health Sciences from Western Michigan University in 2020. Her dissertation examined service delivery when occupational therapy works as part of a team-based approach in primary care settings. She joined Texas Woman’s University in 2021 as a tenure-track assistant professor. She has collaborated with a community partner, The Agape Clinic, as part of the Crystal Charity Ball, to provide comprehensive services to the pediatric populations in marginalized populations.
