Laura Martin, PT, DPT is a graduate of Texas Woman’s University and has been working at TIRR Memorial Hermann Outpatient Rehabilitation since 2008. Laura has completed the vestibular competency course in 2012 and is one of the lead physical therapists of the vestibular program at TIRR Outpatient. She treats a wide range of neurologic diagnosis, with emphasis in vestibular and concussion rehabilitation and serves as a mentor to the clinical staff. She became a board certified clinical specialist in neurologic physical therapy in 2010.
She is the residency director for TIRR Memorial Hermann’s Neurologic Physical Therapy Residency since 2015 and prior to taking on this role, was the primary mentor for the residency in the Outpatient location for five years as well as clinical instructor for students and mentor to new staff members. She has been the Residency Director for the Memorial Hermann Acute Care Physical Therapy program since 2019.
She is the secretary for the Academy of Neurologic Physical Therapy’s Residency and Fellowship Special Interest Group since 2019 and is a site visitor for the Accreditation Services Committee as part of the American Board of Physical Therapy Residency and Fellowship Education since 2017.
