Emily Squier MA, LCSW is a licensed clinical social worker, who for the past 15 years has been practicing primarily as a clinical case manager at the James A Lovell Federal Health Care Center (FHCC), formally known as the North Chicago VA. In that time, Ms. Squier has spent 14 years working with Post-9/11 Military2VA service members and veterans. Ms. Squier has spent 11 years working as a member of an interdisciplinary TBI/Polytruama treatment team. Ms. Squier has had the privilege to work with a unique patient population who have experienced a range of events that often result in chronic pain, some of which include: combat deployments, vehicle/aircraft accidents, explosions, blast waves, falls, blunt head trauma, blows to the head. Ms. Squier enjoys working with a diverse patient population in a rich and collaborative interdisciplinary team environment. Ms. Squier received her undergraduate degree at Indiana University, with a Major in Psychology and Minors in Speech and Hearing Sciences and Business. Ms. Squier went on to complete her Master’s degree in Social Work at the University of Chicago, School of Social Service Administration with work in community non-profit centers and hospitals specializing in severe psychiatric conditions, trauma and disorders of childhood and adolescents.
