Anat Lubetzky, PT, PhD, CSCS, is an Associate Professor at New York University, Department of Physical Therapy, the Director of NYU Steinhardt’s PhD Program in Rehabilitation Sciences and a fellow at the NYU Aging Incubator. Research in Dr. Lubetzky's lab utilizes advances in virtual reality technology to study multi-sensory integration for postural control in aging adults with and without vestibular dysfunction or hearing loss. Dr. Lubetzky has presented both nationally and internationally, including at past American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) Combined Section Meetings, NEXT and at the Barany Society, in the area of vestibular disorders, dizziness and balance. Her work has been funded by the NIH and the Hearing Health Foundation. Her lab’s current focus, funded by an Early Career R21 grant from the National Institute on Deafness and other Communication Disorders, is studying the underlying mechanism of balance dysfunction in adults with hearing loss.
