I am a PhD trained gerontologist with expertise in aging and health in diverse older adult populations. My research uses data from diverse, population-based cohort studies of aging to investigate life course determinants of dementia, cognitive impairment, and cognitive decline. My research also focuses on understanding the healthcare utilization of older adults with and without dementia. My colleagues and I use multiple data sources to study functional recovery during a post-acute care stay, outcomes of post-acute care, and population-level trends in healthcare use in hospital, outpatient, and end-of-life settings.
