Dr. Jean Woo is a board-certified physician in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) and in Brain Injury Medicine. She is an assistant professor and associate program director for the brain injury medicine fellowship at Baylor College of Medicine. Dr. Woo is also an attending physician for the Brain Injury and Stroke program at TIRR Memorial Hermann, where she was recognized as the Physician of the Year in 2021. Her clinical interests and research focus are Disorders of Consciousness (DoC) from various etiologies, long-term care and outcomes of DoC, hypertonicity management, advocacy for DoC patients, and ethics in brain injury.
