Mary Murray-Weir is Vice President and Chief Rehabilitation Informatics Officer at Hospital for Special Surgery (HSS), New York, NY. As a physical therapist/administrator, she has a keen interest in developing best practices for the delivery of patient care. Mary is passionate about providing opportunities for physical therapists to practice at the top of their license and promoting awareness of the benefits of physical therapy. She uses her knowledge of workflows, decision processes, clinical informatics and analytics to provide strategic leadership for Rehabilitation Services at corporate and offsite satellite locations in the tri-state area in addition to overseeing operations, program development, clinical informatics, continuous quality improvement and professional education for rehabilitative/wellness care. She is the Rehabilitation Research Service Chief and has served on the HSS Institutional Review Board. She received her B.S. degree with honors in Physical Therapy from Hunter College and a MBA in Health Care Management from Iona College. Mary has attended the Value Based Health Care Delivery Intensive Seminar at Harvard Business School with Michael Porter and Elizabeth Teisberg.
