Susan Robinson-Whelen, Ph.D. holds appointments as Investigator at the Spinal Cord Injury and Disability Research Center (SCIDR) at TIRR Memorial Hermann, Assistant Professor in the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) at Baylor College of Medicine, and Adjunct Associate Professor in the Department of PM&R at the University of Texas at Houston Health Science Center. She is Co-Director of the Texas Model Spinal Cord Injury System (TMSCIS) at TIRR Memorial Hermann. Her research focuses on the health and well-being of people with disabilities, particularly people with spinal cord injury. She has served as PI or Co-I on over 20 federally funded studies including numerous studies that have developed and tested the efficacy of health promotion programs designed for people with disabilities, particularly women.
