Melissa Crawford, DrOT, OTR/L has been an outpatient Occupational Therapist at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia for the last six years. She currently works as an outpatient Occupational Therapist at both the Philadelphia and King of Prussia locations. Melissa graduated with an accelerated doctorate through University of the Sciences in Philadelphia in 2017.
Melissa provides outpatient remedial vision therapy to patients ages 5 to 18 years old who have a range of diagnoses, including concussion, saccadic and pursuit deficits, and convergence and accommodative deficits. In particular, Melissa enjoys treating patients with eye movement difficulties who also have a coexisting diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder, and / or ADHD. Melissa also participates in vision related concussion research at CHOP's King of Prussia location. Melissa is becoming certified in performing the Cortical Vision Impairment Range (CVI Range) in order to support evaluation and treatment of a wider variety of vision diagnoses at CHOP.
Outside of vision, Melissa also specializes in pediatric feeding disorders, and Autism Spectrum Disorder. She has worked in specialty clinics include Cerebral Palsy clinic, Regional Autism Center, and Pediatric Feeding and Swallowing Center.
