Dr Jones has held the Rehabilitation Clinical Lead and Consultant Physiotherapist at Guy’s & St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust (GSTFT) for 15 years. He is responsible for over 120 acute and outpatient physiotherapists in specialties that include critical care, medical & surgical oncology, neurology/stroke, older persons’ medicine, overweight & obesity, vascular and amputees, and vestibular & facial rehabilitation. He was awarded his PhD (Rehabilitation) from King’s College London in 2020 investigating whole-body transitional movements in stroke. He has been chief investigator and principal investigator for portfolio studies, is an active peer reviewer for journals and the NIHR, and has published widely. For more than 10 years Dr Jones has led a clinical academic focus for rehabilitation at GSTFT. He has supported post-graduate masters, and advanced clinical practitioner programs, and clinically supported PhD applications in his team. He is a visiting research fellow at the Centre for Human and Applied Physiology at King’s College London. Dr Jones is a research professional member of the ACRM and over the two years or so has been working with with the RTSS networking group.
