Virginia Martin, M.Ed., CCC-SLP, CCM, is the ABI Brain Injury Program Manager at Shepherd Center where she has worked for 22 years. She currently supervises therapy managers and ten teams of rehabilitation therapists and is responsible for program development, clinical outcomes, and patient experience on the 58-bed inpatient unit. In her previous years at Shepherd, she was the manager of the Transition Support Program which includes post-discharge case management, life skills training, vocational services, and peer support. Prior to her employment at Shepherd Center, Ms. Martin developed and rolled out the Day Rehabilitation Program at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta and was the manager for that program. Her previous roles include program director as well as manager for case management and speech therapy departments for brain injury rehabilitation programs. She is licensed as a speech-language pathologist and certified as a case manager.
