Dr. Gochyyev’s research and teaching interests are in behavioral statistics, latent variable modeling, psychometrics, causal inference, and evaluation. His research spans areas such as structural equation modeling, multilevel and longitudinal modeling, hidden Markov and latent class models, multidimensional measurement, and survival models. His work was published in both national and international journals, including Measurement, Psychological Methods, Psychological Assessment, Criminal Justice and Behavior, Thinking Skills and Creativity, and Journal of Applied Measurement.
Dr. Gochyyev received his Ph.D. from the University of California, Berkeley in Quantitative Methods and Evaluation and his MA degree from the University of Arizona. He is also an ad-hoc reviewer for several journals and a review board member for the International Journal of Environmental Research and Public Health.
