Elise completed her bachelor's of science in exercise physiology at the University of Miami in May 2018, and Master's of Science at McMaster University. She has developed a strong interest in sex and gender considerations, where her current PhD research focused on the intersection between sex and gender considerations and telerehabilitation in individuals with stroke.
