Dr. Finn is a clinician investigator at the Minneapolis VA Health Care System, as well as an assistant professor in the University of Minnesota's Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences. He completed his graduate studies in clinical psychology at The University of Tulsa, his predoctoral internship at the Minneapolis VA, and his post-doctoral fellowship in clinical assessment at Kent State University. Dr. Finn joined the Minneapolis VA Rehabilitation Psychology team in December 2014. Currently, he is the Project Director for the Minneapolis VA’s TBI Model Systems program and a Principal Investigator with the Minneapolis Adaptive Design & Engineering (MADE) program. He also serves as the co-chair of the TBI Model Systems Behavioral Health Special Interest Group. Dr. Finn's research focuses on 1) the psychological health and adjustment of individuals and their families after a TBI; 2) the personalization of rehabilitation services based on transdiagnostic models of personality and psychopathology; and 3) utilization and engagement in health care. Clinically, Dr. Finn provides psychological services within Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation to service members/veterans and their care partners.
