Kathryn Hyzak is a PhD-level trained Implementation Scientist with a specialization in the area of traumatic brain injury (TBI) research-to-practice translation. Using mixed methodologies, Kathryn's research focuses on applying implementation and dissemination science to improve the adoption, reach, fidelity, scalability, and sustainment of evidence-based practices (EBPs) for individuals with TBI and psychiatric comorbidities, as well as testing theory-driven approaches to investigating determinants, implementation strategies, and mechanisms affecting EBP uptake. Kathryn's research has been funded through the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke, and she enjoys team-science approaches to answering system-level questions to improve care for individuals with TBI.
