Dr. William Pomilla is a graduate of Ross University School of Medicine and completed his residency training in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Downstate University Hospital and College of Medicine in Brooklyn, NY. Dr. Pomilla worked in private practice for several years, before coming to Penn State Health Medical Center. He is the director of PM&R Stroke Rehabilitation, Stroke Didactic Course Director, and CO-Director of the Stroke program at Penn State Health since 2015. Dr. Pomilla has given lectures and presentations on a variety of stroke related topics. He is an educator to medical students, residents, therapists, and medical staff at the Penn State Health Rehabilitation Hospital in Hummelstown, PA. Although, he spends much of his time in clinical practice, he continues to stay active in research as well. He is the current Data Safety and Monitoring Board Chair (DSMB) for one of Penn State Health’s leading stroke neurology researchers and continues to collaborate as an investigator in vascular research as well. Dr. Pomilla has co-authored several publications, national poster presentations, and maintains a leadership role in stroke rehabilitation. He is board certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.
