Dr. Morgan Elizabeth Moore is a resident physician at Carolinas Rehabilitation in Charlotte, North Carolina. She attended The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (UNC-CH) for college, where she received her Bachelor of Arts with Highest Distinction in Psychology and Romance Languages in 2013. At UNC-CH, she was selected as a Buckley Public Service Scholar and was inducted into the Phi Beta Kappa Collegiate Honor Society. In addition, she was a workshop facilitator for primary and secondary interpersonal violence prevention.
Dr. Moore completed medical school at UNC-CH in 2020, where she was awarded a medical tuition scholarship and the Sarah Kenan Medical Scholarship. Through the Sarah Kenan Medical Scholarship, she was selected to participate in a program based on a commitment to serve urban, underserved, and vulnerable populations. In medical school, she was a UNC and national chapter member for the Student National Medical Association and served as an executive board member. Throughout her undergraduate and medical school experience at UNC-CH, she volunteered at various clinics for rural and urban uninsured and underinsured patients.
Currently as a fourth year physical medicine and rehabilitation resident, she is the resident liaison for multiple high school pipeline programs for underserved and under-resourced students. She is a founding member of Atrium Health’s Black Resident Council and is an active member of Carolinas Rehabilitation’s Diversity Equity and Inclusion Committee. Dr. Moore has given several DEI presentations to her residency program as well as to Wake Forest medical students. She has also been a guest speaker for the North Carolina Pre-Scholars Institute and the Health Affairs Pipeline Partnership Initiative (HAPPI) Roadshow. She is a member of the Association of Academic Physiatrists, the American Congress of Rehabilitation Medicine, and the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.
