Co-Founder of WAGS of SCI (Wives And Girlfriends of Spinal Cord Injury)

Elena, along with her co-founder Brooke Page, began the WAGS of SCI support and advocacy group for women who have partners with spinal cord injuries in 2017. As the fiancé and caregiver to her C5 level partner, Dan, Elena’s lived experiences have shaped her passion for caregiver advocacy. With a background in Sociology and Psychology, she is the PR portion of the group and specializes in human connections in the WAGS of SCI community. She runs and deigns campaigns in order to facilitate and bring awareness to the women who are caregiver’s to their partners, internationally. Elena believe’s that at some point in our lives, everyone will need a caregiver, be a caregiver, has been a caregiver or is currently a caregiver and therefore supporting our caregiving community is imperative to our collective wellbeing.
