Mark Ashley is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Centre for Neuro Skills® (CNS). He serves as Chairman of the company’s Advisory Board of Directors. The company is family-owned and multigenerational. CNS has been a premier provider of treatment for traumatic and acquired brain injury since 1980, with six CNS clinics – including Texas locations in Irving, Houston, Fort Worth, and California locations in Bakersfield, Los Angeles, and San Francisco.
Dr. Ashley serves on the Center for Applied Neuroscience Advisory Board, University of Cyprus. Dr. Ashley served on the Board of Directors of the Brain Injury Association of America for 18 years, served as Board Chairman and is an Emeritus Chair currently. He also served on the Board of Directors of the California Brain Injury Association, served as Board Chairman and is an Emeritus Chair currently.
Dr. Ashley is an Adjunct Professor at the Rehabilitation Institute of the College of Education at Southern Illinois University. He is an Affiliate Clinical Instructor in the Department of Physical Therapy at Virginia Commonwealth University. He founded the Centre for Neuro Skills Clinical Research and Education Foundation, a non-profit research organization. His work has been published in numerous professional and research publications and he has written several books — one entitled Working with Behavior Disorders: Strategies for Traumatic Brain Injury Rehabilitation and another entitled Traumatic Brain Injury Rehabilitation, and latest one Traumatic Brain Injury Rehabilitation, 4th Edition.
Dr. Ashley is interested in innovative strategies to enhance the rate and extent of recovery following acquired brain injury, designed to broaden access to treatment while reducing its cost. In addition to clinical treatment, his focus is on organizational growth, strategic development and management, and marketing and sales.
