Steve graduated from Colorado State University Bachelors in Exercise and Sport Science in 1993 and then Occupational Therapy in 1995. Steve has been an OT for 26 years. Steve started his career in skilled nursing. In 2003 he was hired by Intermountain Healthcare to start the Acute Rehabilitation Unit(now Neuro-Specialty Rehabilitation Unit) in St. George and has been there ever since.
A majority of the work Steve has done during his time on the now Neuro Specialty rehab unit has been focused on treating patients post neurological injuries. This perspective has been influenced by NDT, PNF and Neuro-IFRAH and focused on developing quality movement/skill in patients post stroke and has been that way until 2017. Steve has been active over his career developing courses and training for the inpatient rehabilitation staff regarding patient handling and patient functional training.
