Bobbie Vergo, OTD, OTR/L is an assistant professor at Concordia University Wisconsin, teaching courses in mental health and pediatrics at the masters and doctoral level in the occupational therapy graduate program. Dr. Vergo has over 12 years of clinical experience working across the life span, with emphasis in pediatrics. She has been a professional consultant, content expert, and presenter at Pathways.org, a non-for-profit organization that provides educational resources to professionals, families, and community members on healthy child development. Dr. Vergo’s areas of interest lie in developing interprofessional understanding and collaboration in the area of mental health, as well as helping student and professional occupational therapists develop understanding and skills to be comfortable addressing the intersections of occupation and mental health across practice settings. Her research interests include the impact of sensory processing disorder on emotional and social wellness, executive function interventions, and community-level programs and models to address DEIJ.
