Professor Lin Cheng-Feng is currently a faculty member of the Department of Physical Therapy and the Institute of Allied Health Sciences, National Cheng Kung University, Tainan, Taiwan. Prof. Lin obtained her physical therapy qualification and a Master of Biomedical Engineering from Taiwan, and a Ph.D. in Biomechanics of human movement from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She serves in teaching, researching, community services, and consultation in the area of physical therapy and biomedical engineering. Prof. Lin’s specialties are in lower extremity biomechanics and sports injury prevention and rehabilitation. Her research primarily focuses on sports biomechanics, foot and ankle model, and performance specializing in ballet dancers and runners, which are combined knowledge in rehabilitation, computer sciences, and bioengineering. She has been granted from research fundings such as the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Sciences and Technology, and medical devices and shoe companies, and many research collaborations among Taiwan, the United States, Japan, and Thailand. Prof. Lin has published various scientific research in the areas of lower limb biomechanics, sports biomechanics, sports performance, sports injury prevention and rehabilitation, shoes-modification and gait retraining, and musculoskeletal physical therapy. She started to work with Cancer team in the NCKU hospital three years ago, and involved in developing cancer rehabilitation program and AI program for evaluating physical therapy intervention on quality of life and survival rate.
