Jane Hein is an Acute Care Physical Therapist at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN. Ms. Hein is a 1989 graduate of the Mayo Clinic’s Physical Therapy Program and has been a certified Pilates, Yoga and Aquatic Therapy Instructor for over 20 years. Jane’s expertise is blending complementary and integrative techniques into patient care as well as building community wellness programs for special populations. Since 2020, she has been serving as a subject matter expert supporting care providers and patient education for the NOHARM clinical trial which introduces the opportunity for surgical patients to learn and utilize non-pharmacologic pain management techniques with an aim to reduce patient reliance on opioid medication as a sole strategy for pain control. Ms. Hein has served as an adjunct faculty member of Mayo Clinic’s D.P.T. program, she’s served on several multidisciplinary research teams and has co-authored several publications. Additionally, she’s been a presenter at Mayo Clinic and MN APTA sponsored as well as regional and national medical and wellness conferences.
