I am an Associate Professor in the Department of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences, University of Nebraska Medical Center, and currently teach neuromuscular and professional practice in the physical therapy curriculum. I have over twenty-five years of experience as a clinician with an emphasis on neurologic adult and pediatric practice and am a board-certified Clinical Specialist in Neurologic Physical Therapy since 2009. I have established relationships with interprofessional rehabilitation clinicians through my work on the Nebraska Stroke Advisory Council Steering Committee from 2012-2018 and on the American Heart Association Mission Lifeline Task Force for the state of Nebraska from 2018-2022. Most recently, I have served as a member on the AHA Post-Acute Stroke Rehabilitation Standards Writing Group. I have presented at local and national conferences on interprofessional team education and stroke and have a strong interest in advancing interprofessional team competencies in stroke rehabilitation and improving stroke systems of care.
