I am a Research Health Science Specialist at the Ralph H. Johnson VA Health Care System in Charleston SC. My research is focused on identifying the causes and consequences of fatigue, especially as it relates to individuals with neurological conditions. I utilize a multimodal approach combining non-invasive brain stimulation, e.g., transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS), and transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS), and neuroimaging to probe and modulate nervous system behavior. I am currently a Department of Veterans Affairs, Rehabilitation Research and Development, Career Development Award (2) recipient, and the PI of a small clinical trial investigating the effects of repetitive TMS on trait fatigue in chronic stroke survivors.
