Paulien Roos, PhD, Manager at CFD Research Corporation, Huntsville, AL
Dr. Roos is Manager in CFD Rsearch’s Biomedical Energy and Materials (BEM) division, leading the biomechanics research group. She has worked in the field of biomechanics, injury prevention / prediction / rehabilitation, her entire career. She has led multiple successful programs looking at biomechanics as it applies to multiple focus areas including dizziness and balance in older adults, and training, rehab, and optimization of the warfighter. She has published papers across many academic journals and presented at international conferences highlighting this work. She holds a PhD in biomechanics from the University of Bath (UK, 2007), and an MSc and BSc in biology from Wageningen University (the Netherlands, 2003, 2000). She held postdoctoral and academic positions at the University of Texas at Austin and Cardiff University.
