Laurie Steen, OTR/L, CEAS I, CLT-LANA, is a clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Occupational Therapy Education at the University of Kansas Medical Center. A 2001 KU alumnae, her clinical background as an occupational therapist includes specialty certifications in ergonomics and lymphedema. For the entry-level doctorate in occupational therapy, Steen brings nearly 20 years of experience in clinical practice working with adults in the KC Metro Area in areas of acute care and outpatient rehabilitation. She is faculty supervisor for KU students providing pro-bono services at the JaySTART outpatient clinic. She also conducts driving evaluations for the Driving and Mobility Services Clinic at KU Medical Center. Steen is an active member in several professional organizations including the Kansas Occupational Therapy Association, American Occupational Therapy Association, National Lymphedema Network, and Kansas Coalition of Lymphedema Therapists.
