Senior Doctor of Neurology
Ida-Viru Keskhaigla
I graduated from the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Tartu in 2009 and transferred to the pharmacology doctoral program at UT. I wanted to become a neuroscientist. Unfortunately, I did not complete my PhD studies, although I have published research publications. In parallel with my doctoral studies, I worked for a family doctor and gave pharmacology lectures for both medical and nursing students in Tartu. In 2011, I entered the neurology residency. Neurology has always attracted me as a specialty that requires a lot of thinking. I finished my residency in 2015 and went to work at Viljandi Hospital, where I first worked as a neurologist and during the last year as the chief physician of the internal medicine clinic. I went on to work in East-Viru central Hospital as a senior neurologist (from 2019).
