Dr. Mark Held graduated from Palo Alto University in 2013 with a Doctor of Philosophy in Clinical Psychology. He completed his American Psychological Association (APA) Accredited Internship with the Missouri Health Sciences Psychology Consortium, a program that combined training from the Harry S. Truman Memorial Veteran’s Hospital and the University of Missouri Department of Health Psychology. He completed his APA Accredited Postdoctoral Fellowship at the San Francisco VA Medical Center, in affiliation with the University of California San Francisco. He has completed advanced training in health and neuropsychology. He has treated patients with a variety of medical and neurologic conditions, primarily following cognitive-behavioral approaches. He currently serves as a Psychologist at SCVMC, working primarily in the Spinal Cord Injury Unit. In addition to clinical duties, he has been the site coordinator and primary supervisor for the doctoral psychology practicum students and the lead psychologist in the Department of Defense funded study, “Telepsychology Intervention for Individuals with Spinal Cord Injury and Depression,” with the Rehabilitation Research Team.
