Shakeel Ahmed is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Physical Therapy at the University of Florida. He teaches the pharmacology, cardiopulmonary physical therapy and differential diagnosis courses in the DPT program along with other undergraduate and IPE courses at UF. His research interests include investigation of strategies/therapeutics to enhance respiratory neuroplasticity in neuromuscular diseases and rehabilitation following critical illness. He also co leads the development of clinical practice guidelines for the physical therapist management of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.
