Betty M. Drees, MD is a Professor of Medicine and Dean Emerita at the University of Missouri-Kansas City (UMKC) School of Medicine; a board-certified endocrinologist at University Health of Kansas City, MO; and President of the Graduate School of the Stowers Institute for Medical Research. She is the Program Director for the UMKC Fellowship in Nutrition and Metabolism; and the Associate Program Director for the Fellowship in Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism. Her research interests are in preventive care, including metabolic health and fracture prevention.
