Makenna is an Occupational Therapist with experience in skilled nursing rehabilitation, home health, and home modifications. She is currently pursuing her PhD at the University of Kansas Medical Center under the mentorship of Dr. Jacob Sosnoff. Her interests are in rural health, physical disabilities, and environmental barriers to participation for people with disabilities.
