Stephen R. Aichele, Ph.D. is a research professor in the Department of Human Development and Family Studies at Colorado State University, with a joint appointment in Epidemiology at the Colorado School for Public Health. His work leverages state-of-the-art statistical methods to determine how age-related changes in cognitive abilities impact lifespan health outcomes. He conducted several early machine learning studies comparing cognitive and behavioral risk factors for dementia, depression, and mortality outcomes in disparate populations of older adults.
