Dr. Brodie Sakakibara is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Occupational Science and Occupational Therapy, and Investigator with the Centre for Chronic Disease Prevention and Management, Southern Medical Program, at the University of British Columbia. He is also a Michael Smith Health Research BC Scholar, and a Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada National New Investigator. His overarching research mission is to reduce the risk of secondary complications after stroke via virtual health and rehabilitation, thereby lessening the burden of stroke on the health care system and improving the long-term health and wellness of stroke survivors.
