Dr. Michael Saenger is a system re-designer, using high performance teaming. From the Air Force, to the inner city, and now with VA, he has led successful interdisciplinary teams for quality improvement in the areas of Primary Care, Mental Health, and High Impact Chronic Pain. Currently Dr. Saenger serves as: VHA Primary Care Co-Lead for Integrated Pain Care; National Program Director of TelePain-EVP, Empower Veterans Program; and VACO PCCCT Whole Health Champion. FYI, EVP is associated with less depression and less death, has trained >1000 Veterans, and is nationally rolling out for Step 3 of 3 virtual Pain Care.
