Dr. Gino Panza completed is PhD in Rehabilitation Science at George Mason University specializing in the cardiorespiratory adaptations to overground locomotor training in individuals living with spinal cord injuries. Dr. Panza then moved to Wayne State University as a post-doctoral fellow focusing on the beneficial impact of mild intermittent hypoxia on individuals with hypertension and sleep apnea. Following his post-doctoral training began his faculty position at Wayne State Univerity in the Program of Occupational Therapy where he currently studies the impact of mild intermittent hypoxia on autonomic dysfunction and sleep apnea in individuals living with spinal cord injuries.
