Dr. med.Hannes Müller-Ehrenberg (MD) born in Mainz (Germany) received his medical education in Cologne (Germany). He trained as an orthopedic surgeon in England and Germany where he began to pursue a specialized interest in trigger point therapy. After receiving his orthopedic specialization degree, Dr. Mueller-Ehrenberg opened his own orthopedic Office in Münster (Germany). In the last 10 years, he has been actively involved in the training of myofascial trigger point therapy teaching the „Swiss approach“. Together with some noted German experts of pain and myofascial trigger points, including Prof. Siegfried Mense, he founded the German Myofascial Pain Society MGMS (Medizinische Gesellschaft für myofasziale Schmerzen) of whom he is the President since 2006. He is presently on many national and international congresses as an active speaker. He was the first medical therapist to acknowledge the great advantages of focused shockwave therapy ESWT as a tool in the diagnosis and treatment of trigger points and myofascial pain.
Dr. Müller-Ehrenberg is a member of the teaching board and an active speaker of following medical scientific societies:
1. ISMST and DIGEST, the international and national medical societies for shockwave therapy (ESWT)
2. MGMS and IMTT, the German and Swiss societies for the treatment of myofascial pain syndrome, that keep up the highest international standard in teaching the therapy of myofascial trigger points
He is also a member of the teaching board of the trainer´s academy of the German Olympic Comitee (DOSB) in Cologne, that is responsible of the education of the coaching and training staff.
