I am a practicing physiatrist with more than thirty years’ clinical experience, and have been the Medical Director of Inpatient Rehabilitation at Gaylord Specialty Healthcare in Wallingford, CT since 2003. Gaylord is a 137-bed facility licenses as a long-term acute care hospital treating complex medical and rehabilitation patients. In 2022 Gaylord discharged more than 450 patients with acquired brain injuries. I am board certified in physical medicine and rehabilitation as well as subspecialty certified in brain injury medicine by the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. I am Assistant Professor in the Department of Medicine at University of Connecticut School of Medicine and Courtesy Staff in the Department of Orthopaedics and Rehabilitation at Yale School of Medicine. I presently serve as the co-chair of the rehabilitation and recovery subgroup of the Northeast Cerebrovascular Consortium as well as a member of the state of Connecticut stroke advisory committee. I will provide my rehabilitation expertise to this project both as a brain injury physiatrist as well as the patient’s attending physician.
