Peter Walter is a Senior Physical Therapy Assistant NYU Langone Health’s Rusk Rehabilitation in the Adult Outpatient Neurologic Physical Therapy department.
Peter has an Associates Degree from New York University as a Physical Therapy Assistant and has 18 years of experience treating patients with complex neurological impairments. Peter also has 17 years experience as a Clinical Instructor for PTA Students. Peter has an active role in orienting, mentoring and assisting staff members in the management of patients who have undergone limb loss surgery. Peter developed and has been instructing the hospital’s wellness based Tai-Chi program for the past 10 years. He has done several departmental in services to provide updated literature on rehabilitation of patients who have undergone amputations and has recently been recognized for his outstanding services in the 2022 PT Month departmental highlights.
