Payton Scott has been a practicing clinician since 2015. He obtained his Associate of Applied Science degree from Owens State Community College in 2015 and his Bachelor of Science degree from Indiana Wesleyan University in 2017. Licensed as both a physical therapist assistant and athletic trainer, Payton has primarily focused on sports and orthopedic conditions in the physically active patient population, but also has experience in pediatrics, becoming the primary clinician in his outpatient facility to treat pediatric orthopedic conditions. In 2021, he completed a graduate certificate in Emergency and Primary Care in Athletic Training Practice from Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions. He has served as a clinical instructor and preceptor for both physical therapist assistant and athletic training students and is an APTA Credentialed Clinical Instructor. Currently, he is a Faculty Instructor and Advising Specialist within the School of Health Sciences at Ivy Tech Community College in Indiana. Payton is married to his wife, Kylee, who is a special education teacher, and the two of them live in Indiana with their golden doodle, Bodie. At present, Payton is enrolled at The University of Findlay in their PTA to DPT Bridge Program and is set to graduate in May 2023.
