Dr. Shaima Alothman PT, PhD, is currently working as a Clinical Assistant Professor at the College of Health & Rehabilitation Sciences, Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University (PNU), King Saudi Arabia. She is also the Deputy Head of Lifestyle and Health Research Center, PNU, Riyadh, King Saudi Arabia. She earned her bachelor of physical therapy degree from King Saud University at King Saudi Arabia. As an avid learner she then moved to United States and earned her master’s degree in anatomy and cell biology from Oklahoma state university in 2013. She further earned her PhD from university of Kansas medical center. Kansas USA in 2018. She is also a certified Lifestyle medicine professional, International Board of Lifestyle Medicine. During her time at the university of Kansas Medical Center, she received graduate research assistant award in 2016 and she was also awarded with best “research poster scientific inquiry award” at the Kansas Physical Therapy Association, spring conference in 2018. She has 23 peer reviewed article published in reputed journals. She has done numerous, over 40 national and international presentations. She has also conducted workshops on data collection, data analysis, research digital skills, authorship and publications, along with lifestyle behavior and modifications.
