Wound Care Nurse Practitioner

I am a board certified adult nurse practitioner currently employed, as a wound care specialist at Good Shepherd Penn Partners (GSPP) in Philadelphia, PA. I have worked at GSPP in various nursing roles since 2008. I hold national certifications in wound care and research. My research experience spans 50 years and has mainly concentrated in the field of oncology. Past major research positions include: research assistant at Georgetown Law Center in Washington, DC; research assistant at the National Academy of Sciences in Washington, DC; coordinating instructor at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in NYC; tumor registry manager at Montefiore Hospital and Medical Center in the Bronx, NY; clinical research specialist and ECOG clinical trials auditor in the Clinical Research Unit of the University of Pennsylvania’s Cancer Center in Philadelphia PA; and data management consultant and auditor for DataMedix, a CRO headed by a biostatistician in Media, PA.
My nursing experience includes oncology, rehabilitation medicine, occupational medicine and wound care. I have an enduring commitment to teamwork and continuing education and believe there is always “more to learn” from colleagues, patients and educators. Additionally, I firmly believe in the transformative potential of research and quality improvement as paths for improving patient outcomes.
