CPT Talia Barrow joined the Army in 2004 as a Combat Medic. She served two years before returning to training to become a certified occupational therapy assistant, spending 4 years in an orthopedic setting in Heidelberg, Germany. She departed from the Army in 2011 to pursue further education. She completed her Master of Science in Occupational Therapy from Belmont University in 2016 and worked for two years in South Florida in a neuro-ICU setting, prior to commissioning in the Army in 2018. While on active duty, she completed a post-professional hand and upper limb fellowship at Thomas Jefferson University and has worked in both clinical and performance settings. She has three beautiful children. After completing the DScOT program, she will be the clinical fieldwork director for the Army OTD program.
