Senior Research Coordinator, Health Science Specialist

Medina Bello is a Senior Research Coordinator with a B.S. in Psychology from the University of Georgia. Upon graduation, Medina retained a role in the University of Georgia’s Psychology Department to work as a coordinator with studies focused on Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s Diseases for two and a half years. Once she helped those studies reach completion, she took an opportunity to work with the Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta’s Marcus Autism Center for two years. There she was the main coordinator for a large recruitment study working with young children experiencing speech and language difficulties due to their Autism Spectrum Disorder diagnoses. In 2018, Medina joined the Department of Veteran Affairs’ Atlanta Healthcare System, where she initially worked on studies focused on mental health. She then transitioned to studies focused on the initiatives of the Center of Visual and Neurocognitive Rehabilitation (CVNR) and physical fitness. More recently, she assumed more regulatory responsibilities as she assists both the exercise and administrative cores.
Medina works on several exercise studies with Dr. Joe Nocera and one with Dr. Lisa Krishnamurthy.
